Nearly 80% of European households had Internet access in 2013 and 76% had a broadband connection compared with 55% and 42% respectively in 2007 according to Eurostat. Over 60% of Europeans now use the Internet daily. Another 10% use the Internet every week but 21% have never used the Internet compared with 37% in 2007. Most income tax returns were completed online.
