Producer Prices Up

Output prices for home sales of manufactured products increased by 4.4% in September 2010 over 2009 compared with 4.9% in the year to August and 4.6% excluding food, beverages, tobacco and petroleum. The monthly index between August and September rose 0.3%. Input prices for the fuel and materials bought by manufacturers increased by 9.5% over the year to September and 0.7% over the month. Import prices increased by 0.9% over the month. Manufacturing inputs excluding food, beverages, tobacco and petroleum increased by 6.4%.
