Better Picture For Trade In August

The UK deficit on trade in goods and services decreased in August from £5bn in July to £4.6bn. Trade in goods was in deficit by £8.2bn but trade in services was again in surplus by £3.6bn down from £3.7bn in July. Geographically, the £8.2bn deficit on trade in goods with the world was spread between the EU with a £3.5bn deficit and non-EU with a £4.7bn deficit.
