Industrial Production In Europe Down In September

Industrial production in Europe fell by 2.5% in the euro area and by 2.3% in the EU27, as compared to August when production increased in both areas, according to data from Eurostat. On the annual comparison industrial production fell by 2.3% in the euro area and by 2.7% in the EU27. Indices fell for production in all components of the index (capital goods, durable consumer goods, non-durable consumer goods, intermediate goods and energy production) on both the monthly and the annual comparisons.
