The unemployment rate fell by 0.2% to 8.1% over the three months from March to May 2012. Unemployment fell to 9.21m down by 65,000. The inactivity rate among those aged 16-64 was 22.9%.
Total pay rose by 1.5% on last year in the economy as a whole and regular pay rose by 1.8%.
