Budget Cuts Will Hit Training

The cuts to the skills budget will hit unskilled workers hardest. The TUC warned that this sector will bear the brunt of cuts in its submission to the 'Skills for Sustainable Growth' consultation. The cuts will increase the divide in access to training by making lifelong learning unaffordable for low-paid unqualified workers. They suggest that any shortfall in Government spending should be compensated for by an increase in business investment in skills.
