The employment rate was highest in the South East at 75% and lowest in the North East at 67.7%. Inactivity rates were also highest in the North East at 24.9% and lowest in the East of England at 19.6%. The North East also had the highest claimant count at 7.7% and the South East the lowest at 3%.
