Give To Caesar

Doctrine affects lives. Our behaviour should be consonant with the teachings. 'Believers' and 'scoffers' are very different. Patience is something scoffers turn against forebearers. They mock delay and disregard it. The OT prophets foretold a new heaven and a new earth. Maybe it's better to stand firm and not get carried away. We can still be aware of future difficulties and heed the warnings. There are plenty of indicators and other signs to help steer a course. Taxation, for example, tax and spend, progressive or regressive taxation? It is widely perceived as an injustice to tax the poor the same as the rich. The rich have the financial ability to save themselves millions of pounds a year by employing expensive and sophisticated lawyers and tax experts to help them avoid paying tax and by registering in tax havens. It all has an impact on the economy. What hypocrisy! Quite a transformation is needed. Following the teachings might help, if the teachings are genuine. We should be careful never to submit ourselves absolutely to any worldly power or authority.
